Des Moines, IA - The Energy fell to the Tulsa 66ers 117-113 on Friday night at Wells Fargo Arena.
The Energy had a strong first quarter, and led 31-22.
Tulsa stormed back in the second quarter, behind Reggie Williams. Williams had 9 of his team high 27 points in the quarter to cut the Energy lead to two at the half. Iowa led 55-53 at the half.
The Central division rivals both scored 28 points in the third quarter. Iowa's Chris Allen had 8 of his 13 points in the quarter. Iowa led 83-81 after three quarters.
Tulsa had a strong final quarter, and pulled away with the 117-113 victory despite Iowa's Othyus Jeffers having 14 of his game high 29 in the fourth. Iowa falls to 21-12 on the season. Tulsa improves to 17-20 on the year.
Tulsa was led by 27 points from Williams. Mustafa Shakur had 22 points. Isaiah Wilkerson had 20 points off the bench for the 66ers. Grant Jerrett had a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Iowa was led by 29 points and 11 boards from Jeffers. Jackie Carmichael had 20 points and 12 boards. Allen added 13 points off the bench.
