Legends Dominate D-Fenders

FRISCO, TX, (Feb. 27, 2014) - The Texas Legends, presented by Veracruz (visit Veracruz.mx), evened the series against the Los Angeles D-Fenders with a 121-103 victory at home.

The Legends got off to a hot start with 21 combined points from Bernard James and Jae Crowder, going up 31-22 at the end of the first. Los Angeles put together a big second quarter to rally back and head into halftime up by two. Jae Crowder grabbed 10 boards in what proved to be a game-altering third quarter for the Legends, dishing it out to James Nunnally who tallied 16 points to grab the lead that would finish the game. The Legends went into the fourth up by six, but a long distance shot from PJ Hairston set the mood for what would be an 18-point victory. The Legends tallied season-high rebounds grabbing 67 and dished out a season-high 38 assists.

Bernard James led the Legends with a franchise-record 90% shooting to grab 38 points and 18 rebounds. Crowder had the team's first triple-double of the season with 23 points, 18 rebounds and 10 assists. Manny Harris led the D-Fenders with 29 points and 9 rebounds.
