BOISE, Idaho - The Idaho Stampede fell to the Santa Cruz Warriors 114-96 at CenturyLink Arena. The Warriors used a 41-point third quarter to take the lead and never looked back.

The Stampede took a 23-20 lead after the first quarter, paced by Kevin Murphy's 10 points. The Warriors only shot 31 percent in the first compared to Idaho's 45 percent. Both teams traded baskets throughout the second quarter to keep the game close. Newly acquired forward Darnell Lazare scored 10 points in the second for the Stampede, helping his team to a 53-48 advantage at the half.

Santa Cruz outscored Idaho 41-22 in the third quarter, shooting 59 percent from the field. Seth Curry, Cameron Jones and Daniel Nwaelele all scored in double figures in the period, propelling the Warriors to 89-75 lead heading into the fourth. Dee Bost brought the Stampede within 12 points with 7:32 remaining in the game but the Warriors pulled away, winning 114-96.

Kevin Murphy finished with a game-high 26 points while Dee Bost posted 22 points, 12 assists and nine rebounds. Newcomers Darnell Lazare (14 points) and Scott Machado (10 points) scored in double figures off the bench.

All five starters scored in double figures for Santa Cruz, led by Cameron Jones (21 points). Ognjen Kuzmic scored 16 points and grabbed 20 rebounds while on assignment from the Golden State Warriors. Dominic McGuire pitched in with 15 points and 15 rebounds.

The two teams will face off again Saturday night at 7 p.m.
