Skyforce Drops 118-113 Decision to Delaware in Winter Showcase Finale

Las Vegas, NV - The Sioux Falls Skyforce snapped a seven-game winning streak on Wednesday night, as they lost 118-113 to the Delaware Blue Coats in the team's last game at the 2022 NBA G League Winter Showcase.
Mychal Mulder, who scored a season-high 30 points, netted 14 points on 4-5 FGA in the first quarter. It helped pace Sioux Falls (11-7) to a 35-29 lead after the first period.
The Skyforce shot 68.2 percent from the field on 15-22 FGA in the second period, which helped them outscore Delaware 75-66 at halftime. Dru Smith scored 15 of his 24 points in the first half, which helped lead the Skyforce.
Delaware (8-10) shot 52.4 percent from the field in the third quarter and outscored Sioux Falls 27-15 and gave them a 93-90 lead before the final target score period.
Philadelphia 76ers assignee Jaden Springer had 10 of his 23 points in the target score period to lead the Blue Coats to the victory. 76ers two-way players Saben Lee and Julian Champagnie combined for 43 in the victory.
DJ Stewart (21 points and four assists) secured his fifth game of 20-plus points in the last six outings to round out top scorers for the Skyforce.
Sioux Falls travels to Oklahoma City on December 27 at 12:00 PM CST to start regular season play. Delaware hosts Rio Grande Valley on December 27, as well.
