Swarm Split Games at the Winter Showcase

(Las Vegas, N.V.) - The Greensboro Swarm, the NBA G League affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets, finished the Winter Showcase 1-1 after a 109-90 win over the G-League Ignite. Mark Williams sealed the win by scoring off a pick-n-roll and assist from Jalen Crutcher.

Greensboro and Ignite went back and forth in the first half ending with a two-point differential in the Swarm's favor at 60-58. Bryce McGowens broke out early with 22 points while John Jenkins led the Ignite with 10 points.

Greensboro was able to pull away in the second half and outscore the Ignite 49-32. The team had three finish with 20-plus points. McGowens finished the day with 28 points and seven assists while Mark Williams added his eighth double-double with 29 points and 19 rebounds and Jalen Crutcher finished with 22 points and eight assists. The Ignite were led by Jenkins who finished with 15 points while Leonard Miller followed closely behind with 12 points.

The Swarm finished the showcase portion of the season with a 7-11 record. Greensboro starts the regular season off on the road against the Long Island Nets (Brooklyn Nets affiliate) on both December 27 and December 29 starting on 7 p.m. ET on both nights.
