LAS VEGAS - The Long Island Nets, the NBA G League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets, were defeated by the Texas Legends 123-108 on Thursday at Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Long Island's final NBA G League Winter Showcase matchup.

Six Nets scored in double figures in today's loss, including forward Donovan Williams (24 points), guard Chris Chiozza (17 points), Brooklyn assignee Day'Ron Sharpe (16 points), Brooklyn two-way guard David Duke Jr., forward Jordan Bowden (15 points) and forward Kaiser Gates (12 points).

Long Island had a slow start in the first quarter while Texas shot a steep 63 percent from the field and 50 percent from deep. The Nets closed the period down by four, 35-31. The Nets looked to build momentum in the second period, but the Legends were consistent. Texas outscored Long Island 25-22 and closed the first half up by seven, 60-53.

The Nets worked hard in the third quarter to close the gap, but the Legends' shots kept falling. Texas continued to outscore Long Island 37-35 and went into the final period up by nine, 97-88.

The Legends' effort remained steady in the fourth quarter to defeat the Nets 123-108.

Legends guard Tyler Dorsey tallied 26 points, six rebounds and eight assists in 28 minutes. Texas forward Tyler Hall posted 24 points, four rebounds and one assist in 35 minutes.

Long Island will return home to face Greensboro on Tuesday, Dec. 27, at 7 p.m. ET.
