SKY SOX PLAN OPENING WEEKEND DO OVER

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO -The Colorado Springs Sky Sox are having an Opening Weekend do-over. Originally, the Sox were supposed to celebrate the opening of the 2007 baseball season in their first home stand two weeks ago but Mother Nature had different plans. Snow, ice and very cold temperatures put a halt on all the festivities as three of the four games of Opening Weekend were postponed. As a result, the Sky Sox are taking a mulligan and will use their four-game series against Portland this weekend (April 21st through April 24th) as their new Opening Weekend.

The weekend will be full of exciting promotions as the events get started on Saturday, April 21st with a 5:05 PM game featuring the entertainment of Rally the Mascot. Rally will be back to entertain fans on Sunday, April 22nd at 1:05 PM along with the always popular promotion of 25¢ hot dogs as well as a special giveaway of awesome schedule posters to the first 1,000 fans. The schedule posters are sponsored by AIG Insurance. The final two games of the series are scheduled for Monday, April 23rd at 6:05 PM and Tuesday, April 24th at 10:35 AM so there will be plenty of exciting baseball action for all fans to enjoy. Throughout the entire four-game home stand all fans will also receive magnet schedules sponsored by Salzman Realty.

As an additional note, due to the weather-related postponements, Wendy's Opening Weekend Coupons and Sky Sox Bonus Book Covers will be honored for this Saturday and Sunday's games.
