Sky Players to Appear at Local McDonald's Tomorrow

CHICAGO - Five Chicago Sky athletes will make appearances at McDonald's restaurants in the city, Elk Grove Village, Woodridge and Joliet on Thursday, May 15. Two-time WNBA All-Star Candice Dupree, 2007 WNBA Rookie of the Year Armintie Price, the Sky's top draft pick, 6'6" LSU star Sylvia Fowles, WNBA Sixth Woman of the Year finalist Jia Perkins and six-year veteran Brooke Wyckoff will help customers and sign autographs at McDonald's as part of a WNBA-wide sampling day for the chain's new Southern Style Chicken Sandwich.

The Chicago Sky's home opener is on May 22 against the Sacramento Monarchs at UIC Pavilion. The Sky is one of seven independently-owned teams in the WNBA, the world's longest-running women's professional sports league. The Sky celebrated its inaugural season in 2006, and finished a successful sophomore season with a 14-20 record.
