Sky Carp Take Down Rattlers
April 17, 2022 - Midwest League (MWL)
Beloit Sky Carp News Release
BELOIT - After taking a while to record their first victory of the season, it took the Beloit Sky Carp no time at all to collect their first winning streak.
The Sky Carp defeated Wisconsin 3-2 before an enthusiastic Easter Sunday crowd at ABC Supply Stadium, finishing their first homestand of the season with a 2-4 record.
After losing the first seven games of the season, Beloit heads to South Bend with a two-game winning streak.
Beloit received another outstanding pitching performance, with Zach King allowing just one unearned run in five innings. Justin Evans recorded the victory out of the bullpen, while Robinson Martinez recorded the save.
Tanner Allen collected the go-ahead hit in the sixth inning, while Davis Bradshaw tripled home a run earlier in the game.
Following the game, fans young and old gathered in the outfield to play catch in the outfield, just like the pros.
The Sky Carp will take Monday off before heading to South Bend for a six-game series beginning Tuesday. They will return home Tuesday, April 26 to take on Cedar Rapids.
