Beloit Sky Carp News Release

BELOIT - The Beloit Sky Carp came up with one of the best wins of the season Saturday night when they rallied past West Michigan 4-2 in 10 innings.

Beloit trailed 2-1 in the top of the ninth inning when, with two outs, Tanner Allen came up with the game's biggest hit, a double to the left field gap to score Will Banfield with the tying run.

After Raul Brito worked out of a jam in the bottom of the ninth, Cody Morissette knocked home Angeudis Santos with a two-out double, and Banfield followed with a single of his own to chase Morissette home to make it 4-2.

Brito worked three scoreless innings out of the bullpen to come up with the victory, while Jackson Rose was also stellar out of the Beloit pen, retiring all 10 batters he faced.

The Sky Carp and Whitecaps will play the finale of their six-game series Sunday at 2 p.m. Eastern in 1 p.m. Central.
