
Six Red Bulls Receive National Team Call Ups

HARRISON, N.J. - Five New York Red Bulls players and one NYRB II player have been called into national team camps during the September FIFA window. Fidel Escobar, Michael Amir Murillo, Kemar Lawrence, Derrick Etienne Jr. and Cristian Casseres Jr. will depart for camps and international friendlies with their respective teams between September 2 and September 12.
NYRB II defender Allen Yanes has also received a senior team call up for Guatemala.
Fresh off their 2018 World Cup appearance, defenders Fidel Escobar and Michael Amir Murilllo will rejoin the Panamanian National team for their friendly against Venezuela on September 11. Escobar played and started all three World Cup Group G matches, while Murillo started and played the first two matches, while missing the third due to yellow card accumulation.
Jamaica's Kemar Lawrence will accompany the Reggae Boyz for two international friendlies. Lawrence and Jamaica will face Ecuador on September 7 at Red Bull Arena and then play the Cayman Islands two days later on September 9. He has accrued 46 appearances for the Jamaican National team, tallying three goals and four assists in 3,877 minutes played.
Forward Derrick Etienne, Jr. will return with the Haiti National team since their international friendly against Argentina on May 30. Etienne, Jr. and Haiti will face St. Martin on September 10. The Red Bulls forward has tallied seven appearances for Haiti, recording one goal in 385 minutes.
Midfielder Cristian Casseres, Jr. has received his first career call up for the Under-20 Venezuela National team. Casseres, Jr. will head down to Miami, Florida to join the U-20 Venzuelan side for their September camp from September 5 through September 12. He has been a main fixture with New York Red Bulls II, tallying 22 games played with 16 starts, three goals, and two assists in 1,481 minutes played.
Yanes, a left back, joins Guatemala's senior team for camp and matches against Argentina on September 7 in Los Angeles and against Ecuador at Chicago's Toyota Park on September 11. The 21-year-old has made four appearances for NYRB II since joining the team in July from Antigua GFC.
