Game Notes: Sounders FC vs. Sporting Kansas City - September 1, 2018

After extending its club-record winning streak to seven games with a 1-0 result on Sunday at Portland, Sounders FC (11-9-5, 38 points) takes its 10-match unbeaten streak into Saturday's clash with Sporting Kansas City (13-6-6, 45 points) on the Xbox Pitch at CenturyLink Field (1:00 p.m. PT / Univision Deportes Network, UniMás, JOEtv, Twitter, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM). Seattle currently sits in sixth place in the Western Conference, level on points with LA Galaxy but holding the total-wins tiebreaker.

Sunday's match is being carried nationally on Univision Deportes Network and UniMás, as well as a national digital stream on Twitter, featuring Paco Villa, Tony Cherchi and Nathalie Juarez on the call in Spanish, as well as Ramses Sandoval and Alejandro Berry handling the SAP broadcast. JOEtv is also carrying the match locally, with regular Sounders FC talent Keith Costigan, Kasey Keller and Steve Zakuani, in addition to Matt Johnson, Marcus Hahnemann, James Riley and Zach Scott providing pre-match, halftime and post-match TV coverage.

Sports Radio 950 KJR AM is airing the fixture on the radio, with Johnson on play-by-play and Wade Webber on color commentary, as well as Jackson Felts and Danny Jackson handling on-site pre-match, halftime and post-match duty. Fans in Western Washington can listen to El Rey 1360 AM for a Spanish radio broadcast, featuring "Zuper" Mario Rodriguez, Felipe Maqueda and Carlos Tapia.

Following Sunday's match, Brian Schmetzer's side has a bye week from MLS action before traveling north to face Vancouver Whitecaps FC on Saturday, September 15 at BC Place (7:00 p.m. PT / JOEtv, YouTube TV, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM).
