
Six Missions Named to Texas League All-Star Team

San Antonio Missions News Release
SAN ANTONIO - Texas League President Tom Kayser announced today that six San Antonio Missions have been named to the 2009 Texas League All-Star Team. The game will be played at Dr. Pepper Ballpark in Frisco, TX on July 1st.
The six San Antonio representatives are outfielder Mike Baxter, outfielder Luis Durango, infielder Eric Sogard, infielder Craig Cooper, and right-handed pitchers Ernesto Frieri and Evan Scribner. Baxter and Durango have been named as starters in the outfield, while Cooper will serve as the starting designated hitter. Sogard is listed as a reserve infielder.
Corpus Christi left-handed pitcher Douglas Arguello is on the disabled list and will miss the game. He will be replaced by another Mission, right-handed pitcher Mat Latos. Baxter was promoted recently to Triple-A Portland, and his roster spot will be filled by Midland's Corey Brown.
