Six Drillers Named To All-Star Team

Tulsa Drillers News Release
The rosters for the 2009 Texas League All-Star Game were announced today and six Tulsa Drillers were included on the North Division squad. The Drillers that were named included pitchers Samuel Deduno, Esmil Rogers, Jhoulys Chacin and Andrew Johnston and infielders Daniel Mayora and Jeff Kindel.
The two squads are determined through voting by league managers and media members.
Deduno, Rogers and Chacin have all been among the ERA leaders in the Texas League this season, while Johnston has been leading the league in saves.
Mayora will be the starting shortstop for the North Division, while Kindel will be the designated hitter.
Owasso native Pete Kozma, who currently plays for Springfield, was named as an infield reserve for the North Division team.
This year's All-Star Game will be played on July 1 at Frisco's Dr Pepper Ballpark.
