
Six Home Runs from the Grasshoppers Lift Them to a 12-1 Victory and Series Win

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Greensboro Grasshoppers defeated the Rome Braves, 12-1, with six home runs for the series win on Sunday, April 30. The Grasshoppers moved to 13-7 on the season while the Braves fell to 8-11. Greensboro outhit Rome 12-7, with one Hoppers error.
Jackson Glenn had a huge day for the Hoppers at the plate going 4-4 with three home runs, six RBI, and three runs scored. Mike Jarvis recorded a grand slam in the bottom of the second while home runs were also tallied by Tsung-Che Cheng, and Jackson Glenn.
Starting on the mound for the Grasshoppers was Anthony Solometo who tallied six strikeouts and gave up two hits and three free bases on four innings of work. Grant Ford recorded the win for Greensboro and moved to 1-0 on the season.
Samuel Strickland took the loss for the Braves and moved to 0-2 on the season.
