Seattle Thunderbirds News Release
KENT - Single game tickets for Seattle Thunderbirds first round playoff games are now on sale.
The T-Birds will play Game 1 of a first round best-of-seven series on Friday, March 25, at 7:35pm at ShoWare Center. The T-Birds will play Game 2 on Saturday, March 26, at 7:05pm at ShoWare Center.
Single game playoff tickets can be purchased on the T-Birds website and at the ShoWare Center box office. The ShoWare Center Box Office is open Monday through Friday 10am to 5pm and Saturday and Sunday game days at noon.
The T-Birds are 42-23-3-0 and in first place in the US Division, four points ahead of the Everett Silvertips, with four games remaining in the regular season. The T-Birds can finish no worse than second place in the U.S. Division, thus ensuring they have home-ice advantage for the first round of the playoffs. The T-Birds at this time do not know their first round opponent. A full first round schedule will be released once an opponent is determined.
The T-Birds magic number to clinch the US Division title is two points. The T-Birds play the Spokane Chiefs Tuesday at ShoWare Center at 7:05pm. If the T-Birds defeat the Chiefs Tuesday they will win the US Division title. Tickets for the last Directors Mortgage 2-for-Tuesday of the season are available on the T-Birds website.
The T-Birds are currently riding a 10-game win streak and have won 14 of their last 15 games.
The T-Birds finish out the regular season this coming weekend with three games. They travel to Kennewick to play the Tri-City Americans on Friday at 7:05pm. The T-Birds host the Portland Winterhawks on Saturday at 7:05pm at ShoWare Center. They finish the regular season against the Winterhawks in Portland on Sunday at 5pm.
