Everett Silvertips News Release

EVERETT, Wash. - Everett stuffed the stat sheet tonight as 12 of their players recorded points, including two-goal nights from forwards Martin Fasko-Rudas and Jackson Berezowski, as the Everett Silvertips defeated the Prince George Cougars, 6-1, before 7,267 fans at A.O.T.W. Arena on Saturday night.

The Silvertips came out on fire, scoring three unanswered goals in the first 14 minutes of play while Everett goaltender Max Palaga stopped 24 of 25 shots in his fourth start as a Silvertip, as the Tips finish the month of December with a 8-0-0-1 record.

"I thought out guys did a really good job on adapting playing left wing, right wing, center, wherever we had them go," Head Coach Dennis Williams said. "I thought it was overall a very good outing for our guys."

UP NEXT: The Silvertips prepare to hit the road to take on the Tri-City Americans on January 4, 2019 at 7:05 p.m. (1380 AM / 95.3 FM / Tips App / WHL Live).

Everett forward Bryce Kindopp opened the game up by scoring his 18th goal of the season at 8:35. After a Cougars turnover in their offensive zone, forward Connor Dewar fed forward Dawson Butt, who drove the puck up into the attacking zone. Butt hit Kindopp with a centering pass where Kindopp wristed a laser past Cougars goaltender Isaiah DiLaura.

The Silvertips added to their lead at 10:40, making it 2-0, as Berezowski slung a wrister from the left slot for his seventh goal of the season. Everett rookie-forward Gage Goncalves and defenseman Artyom Minulin both recorded assists on the play.

The Tips tacked on another first period goal, which put the Tips up 3-0, but this time by force of a power play goal deflected in at 13:47. Fasko-Rudas was rewarded the goal after deflected a booming slapper from defenseman Gianni Fairbrother from the far side.

Everett landed 10 shots on DiLaura in the opening frame, as Everett goaltender Max Palaga stopped six of six shots.

Fasko-Rudas struck again 21 seconds into the second to put the Silvertips up 4-0. Fasko-Rudas sped the puck up the ice, creating a breakaway opportunity, and lifted the puck over DiLaura's glove. Flyers prospect Wyatte Wylie and forward Max Patterson recorded assists on the play.

Prince George defenseman Ryan Schoettler cut the Tips lead to 4-1, with a power play goal at 13:23 into the second off a pass from center Ethan Browne and defenseman Cole Moberg.

Everett added to their lead with a deflection goal at 14:44 scored by Capitals prospect Riley Sutter. A Cougars turnover promoted by Kindopp forwarded the puck to Everett defenseman Jake Christiansen, who blasted it on net near the Everett bench, to give Sutter the deflection opportunity.

Berezowski chipped in another goal, which put the Silvertips up 6-1, at 15:26 off cycling passes from blueliners Minulin and Sahvan Khaira.

The Silvertips finished with 36 shots on goal while the Cougars finished tonight with 25.
