
Sierra Has All Three Hits for Fisher Cats Tuesday

New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release
(Manchester, NH)-Moises Sierra went three-for-four and scored a runbut the Fisher Cats fell for the second straight night to Reading, dropping a 10-2 decision before 5,534 at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.
Sierra had all three of New Hampshire's hits. Phillies starter J. C. Ramirez (8-9) worked seven solid innings, allowing two runs (both unearned). He walked one and struck out three. Derrick Loop retired all six batters he faced in relief.
Reading (51-45) scored the first three runs of the game in the top of the third inning. Paco Figueroa singled and moved to third on two groundouts, scoring on a single by Michael Spidale to make it 1-0. After Matt Rizzotti walked, both runners moved up on a wild pitch and both scored on a double by Carlos Rivero.
Terry Evans homered in the top of the fourth inning off losing pitcher Chad Jenkins (2-3).
The Fisher Cats (53-42) picked up two runs in the bottom of the fifth inning. Moises Sierra singled and moved to second when Yan Gomes reached on an error. Craig Stansberry then reached on a dropped pop in the infield that scored both runs to make it 4-2.
Reading answered right back with five runs in the top of the sixth inning. Evans (3-for-4, HR, 2B, 2 RBI) doubled in a run, Paco Figueroa drove in two with a single and Tuffy Gosewisch homered to give the Phillies a 9-2 lead.
The Phils added a run in the top of the ninth inning for the 10-2 final.
Jenkins worked five innings, allowing four runs on five hits, taking the loss. Rey Gonzalez worked two scoreless innings in relief for the Fisher Cats.
The Fisher Cats and Phillies conclude the series on Wednesday night at 7:05pm. The first 1,000 fans to enter Northeast Delta Dental Stadium will receive a free Mini-Bat courtesy of Coca Cola.
