TONIGHT: The Richmond Flying Squirrels and New Britain Rock Cats will meet in game two of a three-game series...The Rock Cats broke through a 6-6 tie by scoring five runs on three hits, three walks, and a wild pitch in the bottom of the seventh inning en route to an 11-6 win over the Flying Squirrels on Monday night in front of 4,412 fans at New Britain Stadium.

LONELY ROAD: The Flying Squirrels dropped to 1-4 on their current road trip with last night's 11-6 loss at New Britain...The club has been outscored 35-15 over the first five games of the trip...Richmond's pitching staff has a 7.02 ERA (32ER/41 IP) on the trip and the pitching staff's overall ERA has risen from 3.03 to 3.22...The 11 runs allowed last night matched the second-most given up by Flying Squirrels pitching this season...The team has allowed nine runs or more twice in the last three games after giving up nine runs or more four times total in its first 90 games overall.
ON THE ROAD AGAIN: The Flying Squirrels are in the middle of a stretch where they are playing 14 of 20 games on the road...Overall, the club is 16-28 - the second-worst road record in the Eastern League - on the road, and is batting .211 and averaging 3.30 runs per game (145R/44G) in 44 road contests...The club recently completed a stretch where it played 19 out of 26 games at home, going 16-10 overall including an 13-6 mark at home...The club is 32-17 overall at home - the second-best home record in the league - and is batting .261 in 49 games at The Diamond while averaging 4.57 runs per game at home (224R/49G).
SAN FRANCISCO: Outfielder Francisco Peguero has hits in each of his last seven games, his third hit streak of five games or more since being promoted from Advanced-A San Jose 6/23...The 23-year-old is 8-for-27 (.296) over his last seven contests with three doubles, a triple, one RBI, and one run scored, including a pinch hit double 7/10 against Harrisburg...The Dominican has hits in 18 of the 23 games he has appeared in with the Flying Squirrels.
JOHNNY ON THE SPOT: Catcher Johnny Monell is batting .382 (29-for-76) over his last 26 games with six doubles, three home runs, 15 RBIs, and 12 runs scored...Over his last 26 games, the 25-year-old has lifted his batting average from .214 to .260...It is the highest that the Eastern League Mid-Season All-Star has had his batting average since he was hitting .261 on 4/15.
WHERE HAS JUAN GONE' Outfielder Juan Perez is 1-for-18 (.056) through the first five games of the Flying Squirrels current seven-game road trip...The 24-year-old has struck out six times and has walked once...He is 0-for-5 with runners in scoring position on the trip, leaving 12 runners on base...Perez has seen his average fall from .243 to .232 over the last five games.
PITCHING IN: The Flying Squirrels pitching staff leads the Eastern League with a 3.22 ERA through 93 games and has allowed a league-low 346 runs...Richmond's pitching staff has allowed two runs or less in 35 of its 93 games (38%)...Starting pitching has allowed three runs or less in 65 of the team's 93 games (70%) and the club is 43-22 in those contests.
