The Somerset Patriots were shut out by the New Hampshire Fisher Cats by a score of 7-0 on Wednesday night at TD Bank Ballpark in Bridgewater, NJ.

The loss marks the second time the Patriots have been shut out this season. After their series-opening win on Tuesday, the loss evens the series 1-1.

RHP Leonardo Pestana (2.0 IP, 1 BB, 2 K) made his Double-A debut, pitching two perfect innings of relief, before walking the final batter he faced to lead off the eighth inning.

C Ben Rice (1-for-3, BB, K) had one of the Patriots' three hits and drew his team-leading 15th walk of the season. Rice ends the day ranking among the Eastern League leaders with 47 TB (3rd), 15 BB (3rd) and 10 XBH (T-3rd).
