Ontario Clippers News Release

AUSTIN, TX - The Agua Caliente Clippers (16-16) lose their second in a row, falling to the Austin Spurs (18-13), 114-103, on Tuesday afternoon.

Playing without four of their five leading scorers, two-way players Johnathan Motley and Amir Coffey and NBA assignees Mfiondu Kabengele and Terance Mann, Agua Caliente managed to keep things close and faced a two-point deficit at the end of the third quarter. However, the game quickly shifted as the Spurs opened the fourth with a 17-2 outburst to increase their advantage to 17. They would go on to lead by as much as 20 on their way to the finish line.

Donte Grantham led the Clippers with 28 points and 14 rebounds in the losing effort. James Palmer Jr. added 27 points on 10-of-13 shooting from the field and hit three of his seven attempts from distance.

Austin was paced by Luka Samanic's 28 points, seven rebounds, and three blocks.

The Clippers look to get back on track as they visit the Texas Legends on Thursday evening in the fourth game of their five-game roadtrip. The ballgame is slated to tip-off at 5 p.m. PST inside the Comerica Center in Frisco, Texas.
