Iowa Runs out of Gas in Final Minutes to Westchester

Des Moines, Iowa - The Iowa Wolves (14-17) led for most of Tuesday's game before giving up the lead with 43.2 seconds remaining in a 126-123 loss to the Westchester Knicks (16-16) at Wells Fargo Arena.

Lindell Wigginton's three-point shot to tie the game with 3.0 seconds remaining hit iron and bounced out, sending the Wolves to their first loss in their last three games.

Timberwolves assignee Jaylen Nowell poured in a team-high 26 points while shooting 50.0% (10-of-20) from the field and 66.7% (6-of-9) from the three-point line.

Former Syracuse alum Tyus Battle posted a career-high 23 points while connecting on 8-of-11 shots.

Six Wolves players finished in double figures including a 14-point, 10-rebound performance from James Webb III.

Lindell Wigginton contributed with 19 points off the bench for the home team.

Defensively, Iowa allowed Westchester to shoot 50.5% from the field and gave up 74 of their 126 points from the paint area.

Former NBA forward Ivan Rabb led all scorers with a 33-point, 13-rebound performance for Westchester. The former second round draft pick was 13-of-17 from the field for the game. Two-way player Kadeem Allen and Knicks assignee Ignas Brazdeikis each tallied 24 points in the win for the visiting team.

Iowa hits the road for a two-game road trip beginning tomorrow night against the Sioux Falls Skyforce at 6:30 p.m. CT.
