STAT OF THE DAY: Shorebirds lefty Tim Berry ranks fifth in the SAL in strikeouts per 9 IP ratio (11.29). Berry has fanned 23 batters (staff high) in 18.1 innings pitched. Berry has six or more strikeouts in three of his four starts.

PREVIEW: Following a 5-1 win on Thursday, the Shorebirds go for their third series win of the series in the finale against Greenville. Parker Bridwell and Jake Cowan allowed just three combined hits to lead the Shorebirds to victory last night. Gabriel Lino connected on a two-run single in the first inning. The Shorebirds scored four of their five runs in the first. The Shorebirds are back in third place, three games behind the Hickory Crawdads.

9.0 IP, NO ER: After three innings last night, Jake Cowan has now pitched nine straight innings (three outings) without giving up an earned run. After five appearances (12.2), he has allowed one earned run (0.71 ERA).

9 TIMES 2 OR UNDER: The Shorebirds have held their opponent to two or fewer runs in nine of the 20 games played this season. The Shorebirds have given up six or more runs just four times. The Shorebirds rank third in the SAL with a 3.02 ERA.

TEN-GAME HIT STREAK: John Ruettiger went 1-for-4 yesterday to increase his hitting streak to ten games (17-44, .386). He also has a 12-game on-base streak going. Ruettiger leads the Shorebirds in games played (19), batting average (.354), runs scored (16), hits (28), doubles (6) and total bases (34). Ruettiger ranks second in the Orioles farm system in batting average (Ron Welty, .400).

DELMONICO ON 7-GAMER: Nicky Delmonico has hit safely in seven straight games (11-27, .407). Delmonico has nine RBIs and four multi-hit games in the last seven. Delmonico's batting average was at .132 before the six-game hit streak started.

ON-BASE STREAKS: Glynn Davis has reached base in 15 straight games while Brenden Webb has reached base in 14 straight games. Davis' streak is the fifth longest active in the SAL.

2.08 HOME ERA: The Shorebirds pitching staff has a 2.08 ERA in 10 games at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium. They have allowed just 29 runs (21 earned, 2.1 per game). Over 91 innings at home, the staff has allowed just 67 hits.
