LAKEWOOD, N.J. - Two unearned runs again provide the difference in a third consecutive loss for the BlueClaws against the Asheville Tourists, 7-2.

The BlueClaws and Tourists were tied 2-2 entering the 6th inning when BlueClaws starting Colin Kleven struck out the first two outs of the inning. Jordan Rivera singled and Jared Simon grounded to third base on what should have been the third out of the inning, but Harold Martinez dropped the throw from Maikel Franco to allow Simon to reach via an error. The next batter Will Swanner singled to load the bases and then Brian Humphries singled home two runs to put the Tourists ahead for good with a 4-2 lead.

Harold Riggins connected on a three-run homer in the 7th inning that scored Delta Cleary Jr. and Same Mende to provide Asheville with a few insurance runs and turn a 4-2 lead into a 7-2 lead.

The BlueClaws begin a three-game series Saturday afternoon when they face the Greenville Drive. Lakewood dropped three-out-of-four in Greenville, S.C. when the two teams faced each other in the opening series of the season. The BlueClaws will send Lino Martinez (2-1, 8.55) to the mound against Greenville's Jason Garcia (0-1, 4.73) in Game 1. First pitch is scheduled for 4:05 p.m.
