STAT OF THE DAY: Brenden Webb has walked 17 times since April 17, fifth most during the span in all the minor leagues.

PREVIEW: The Shorebirds aim for back-to-back wins over the top team in the Southern Division in game two of the series. Last night, the Shorebirds overcame a 4-1 ninth inning deficit and won 6-4 in ten innings. Glynn Davis threw out Ben Gamel at the plate in the bottom of the ninth inning to send the game to extra innings. Davis also picked up RBIs in the ninth and tenth innings. The Shorebirds remain six games back of Greensboro, who now owns the best record in the league at 20-8.

DELMONICO CONTINUES HOT PLAY: Nicky Delmonico takes a five-game hit streak and a 15-game on-base streak into game two against Charleston. His .267 batting average is the highest it has been since the fifth game of the season (April 9, .297). During the on-base streak, his batting average has soared from .132 to .267 and his on-base percentage has jumped from .250 to .377. He has reached base 27 times in the last 15 games.

GLYNN DAVIS: Davis picked up his first multi-hit game since April 18 last night. It was also the first time he had multiple hits and RBIs in the same game this season.

2ND NINTH INNING COMEBACK: Last night was the second time this season that the Shorebirds overcame a ninth inning deficit. On April 9, they were down 4-2 to Kannapolis and scored five runs in the ninth inning to beat the Intimidators 7-4.

ZACH DAVIES VS. RH: Reliever Zach Davies picked up his first win of the season last night over four innings. Right-handed batters went 1-for-10 against him in the final four innings. On the year, righties hit just .163 (7-43) against him.

FIRST ROAD WIN SINCE APRIL 9: The Shorebirds ended an eight game road losing skid with a 4-2 win last night. It was their first road win since April 9 when they topped Kannapolis, 7-4.
