(ASHEVILLE, N.C.) After Lexington built an early 3-0 lead, the Asheville Tourists came back with seven runs in two innings and went on to beat the Legends 8-5 Sunday in Asheville.

The Legends took the lead with three runs in the top of the third inning. With one out, back-to-back doubles by Zach Johnson and Matt Duffy produced a run. Alex Todd singled off the wall in right field, but was thrown out going to second as Duffy held at third. Mike Kvasnicka followed with his second home run of the season to give the Legends a 3-0 lead. Duffy has reached base at least once in 23 consecutive games.

Asheville came back with four runs in the bottom of the third. Singles by Jose Rivera, Delta Cleary and Tyler Massey loaded the bases. Harold Riggins grounded to shortstop, and Rivera scored as the Legends got a force play at third base. Jordan Ribera's double scored two more runs, and Ribera came around to score the go-ahead run as Sam Mende's ground ball got past second baseman John Hinson for an error.

The Tourists added three more runs in the fourth inning. Ryan Casteel singled and moved to second on a sacrifice by Rivera. Casteel tried to score on Cleary's single, but was thrown out at the plate by center fielder Justin Gominsky. Back-to-back homers by Massey and Riggins gave Asheville a 7-3 lead.

The Legends got a run in the fifth on a double by Kvasnicka and a single by Chris Epps.

Massey's second homer of the game in the sixth gave Asheville an 8-4 lead. The Legends got their final run in the eighth on a home run by Hinson, a native of Asheville.

Asheville starter Daniel Winkler (3-2) worked the first five innings and got the win. Nelson Gonzalez pitched a scoreless ninth inning to earn his third save. Legends starter Luis Ordosgoitti (0-1), making his first appearance with Lexington since being called up from extended spring training May 1, took the loss.
