
Shooting Woes Sink Wolves in Westchester

White Plains, New York - After starting the game on a 17-6 run the Iowa Wolves (18-18) fell off track, falling to the Westchester Knicks (26-14) 107-83 Wednesday night at the Westchester County Center.
Iowa has now dropped four consecutive road games dating back to before the NBA All-Star break.
As a team, the Wolves shot just 37.8% from the field, one of their worst performances of the season.
Melo Trimble led the Wolves with a team-high 19 points, six assists and four steals to go along with four rebounds. His four steals tied a previous season-high.
Forward Amile Jefferson finished with his NBA G-League leading 25th double-double of the season, collecting 12 points and 17 rebounds in 42 minutes of action.
The Wolves were outscored 54-34 in the final half of play and shot a lowly 26.5% from the field in the last two quarters. Iowa also turned the ball over 20 times, their highest total of the year.
Seeing his first action since suffering a high ankle sprain on Jan. 2, Perry Jones III started the game for Iowa, finishing in double figures with 12 points while shooting 4-of-9 from the floor.
Elijah Millsap contributed 14 points and eight rebounds to lead the second unit.
Knicks' affiliate Xavier Rathan-Mayes led all scorers with a 25-point, seven-assist performance. Nigel Hayes added 22 points, seven rebounds, six assists and five steals in an impressive all-around performance for the former Wisconsin Badger.
Westchester, the top three-point shooting team in the NBA G League, finished 12-of-22 (55%) from deep on the evening.
Iowa returns home this Friday to take on the Rio Grande Valley Vipers at 7:00 p.m.
