February 21, 2018 - NBA G League (G League)
Northern Arizona Suns News Release

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Phoenix Suns announced Wednesday that that they have called up guard Shaquille Harrison from the Northern Arizona Suns.

Harrison is the fourth Northern Arizona Suns player to be called up by the team's parent club all-time, the third this season. Isaiah Canaan and Josh Gray were each called up by Phoenix earlier this year. The NAZ Suns have had the most players called up (four) in the NBA G League this season.

Gray will return to Northern Arizona after being released by Phoenix on Wednesday. He is expected to be available tonight for the NAZ Suns as they take on the Memphis Hustle on the road at 6 p.m. MT.

Harrison (6-4, 190) is the seventh GATORADE Call-Up in NAZ Suns history. He will wear No. 10 for Phoenix, who next plays Friday at Talking Stick Resort Arena against the LA Clippers at 7 p.m. MT.

The 24-year-old could make his NBA debut after playing for the NAZ Suns the last two years. This season he averaged career-highs in scoring (11.0 PPG), rebounding (4.7 RPG), assists (3.5 APG) and steals (1.9 SPG, 10th best in the league) in 36 games (seven starts). He also shot a career-high 46.4 percent from the field and had the best plus-minus on the team (+164), well above the next closest Suns player (Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson with a +57). Harrison's +164 is 10th best in the NBA G League this season.

Since taking over the starting point guard role on Feb. 2, Harrison averaged 14.0 points on 48.3 percent shooting, 9.2 assists, 7.0 rebounds and 2.4 steals over five games. NAZ went 4-1 in those games.

In his NBA G League career, Harrison averaged 10.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.6 steals in 84 games (24 starts).

Harrison is no stranger to the Suns organization where he spent chunks of the last two offseasons. He took part in Phoenix's training camp in 2016 and averaged 10.3 points on 61.1 percent shooting, 3.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals in 22.3 minutes per game for the Suns' Summer League team in 2017.

Harrison went undrafted in the 2016 NBA Draft out of the University of Tulsa, where he was named to the All-AAC Second-Team his junior and senior campaigns. Harrison left as the only player in Tulsa basketball history to start every game in a four-year collegiate career. The Kansas City, Missouri, native finished his career at Tulsa second in assists (461) and third in steals (244).

All-time call-ups in NAZ Suns history; Harrison (2017-18), Gray (2017-18), Derrick Jones Jr. (Miami Heat, 2017-18), Canaan (2017-18), Elijah Millsap (Phoenix Suns, 2016-17), Johnny O'Bryant (Charlotte Hornets, Denver Nuggets, 2016-17).
