Beloit Snappers right-hander David Shinskie was promoted to the New Britain Rock Cats of the Eastern League, effective today. Shinskie was 6-7 for the Snappers with a team high 11 saves. He had a 2.13 ERA in 76 innings with 61 strikeouts.
The Minnesota Twins selected Shinskie in the fourth round of the June 2003 draft. He is a 2003 graduate of Mount Carmel Area (PA) where he played baseball, basketball and football.
The Snappers active roster currently stands at 23, two below the Midwest League maximum.
Beloit returns home for an eight game home stand Monday, August 14 through Monday, August 21. The Snappers face the Swing of the Quad Cities in the first four games and the Clinton LumberKings in the last four. Monday, August 14 is an All You Can Eat Night!
