SPRINGFIELD, MA - A third period offensive explosion of five goals led to a come-from-behind 5-2 win for the Sharks at Sprinfield. Dimitri Patzold earned consecutive wins for the first time this season with a 27-save performance and Mathieu Darche tallied his AHL leading 19th goal of the season.

An evenly played opening period saw the frame's only goal occur with a two-man advantage for the Springfield Falcons. Eric Healey wristed his seventh goal of the season past Sharks goaltender Dimitri Patzold while the Sharks skated two-men short midway through the period. The two teams combined for a handful of scoring chances with both Patzold and Springfield's Sean Burke making several key saves in the early going. The Sharks were out shot by the Falcons 16-9 through twenty minutes of play.

The second period provided nearly a carbon copy of the first with Springfield scoring the only tally of the frame on a power play. Norm Milley registered his seventh of the year at the 5:56 mark with the Falcons enjoying their only man-advantage situation of the period. Worcester out shot the Falcons 8-7 in the period.

The Sharks biggest offensive output in a period this year led to a 5-2 victory at Springfield. Five different skaters tallied goals for the Sharks in support of Dimitri Patzold's fourth win of the year. Mike Iggulden, Ashton Rome, Craig Valette, Mathieu Darche, and Grant Stevenson all scored for the Sharks at even strength. The goal by Darche was his AHL leading 19th of the season. The Sharks out shot Springfield 16-6 in the period and 33-29 overall in the game for their first win in three tries against the Falcons.

Tomorrow afternoon the Sharks host Hartford for a 4:00 p.m. "Early Bird Special" as Bob's Stores and the Telegram & Gazette are partnering on a foam puck giveaway to the first 3,000 fans. Best of Bob's Rewards Program members can use their "Best of Bob's" Card for an $8 ticket to the game at the DCU Center Box Office.
