Shane Carle Placed on Disabled List, Boone Logan to Rockies

Right-handed pitcher Shane Carle has been placed on the disabled list, retroactive to June 5. Carle suffered an ear contusion after being struck with a batted ball while on the mound on Saturday. In 11 starts for Albuquerque on the season, the 24-year-old is 3-5 with a 5.80 ERA (35ip/54.1ip).
After just making one rehab appearance in an Isotopes uniform, lefty Boone Logan has been activated by the Colorado Rockies. He pitched a scoreless inning in relief on Saturday.
