
Sevens Come up Short in Battle with Mad Ants 122-111

Newark, DE-March 14, 2014- The Delaware 87ers (11-32) took on the Fort Wayne Mad Ants (26-15) for the second time this season, falling 122-111.
Tiny Gallon propelled the Sevens to their first lead of the game on a monster slam with just under five minutes remaining in the first quarter. The 87ers went into the locker room at the half leading 57-54. Gallon ended the game with 17 points and pulling down five rebounds.
Fort Wayne guard Matt Bouldin, led his team with 20 points and four assists. Seven Mad Ants scored in double figures.
Josh Akognon led the 87ers in scoring dropping in 24 points and dishing out five assists. Thanasis Antetokoumpo had a solid game scoring 20 points and grabbing three rebounds. Still, their efforts were not enough to pull out the victory.
The 87ers return to action on Sunday, March 16 when they travel to Fort Wayne to face the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.
