Sioux Falls, S.D. (March 14, 2014) - The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced today that the team has acquired NBA veteran Craig Smith. To make room for him the team waived forward Ryan Evans due to a season-ending injury.

Smith played for Hong Kong (China) and Hapoel Jerusalem (Israel) last season. He holds NBA career averages of 7.6 points and 3.9 rebounds in 403 games with the Portland Trail Blazers (47), Los Angeles Clippers (123) and Minnesota Timberwolves (233). His best season came in 2008-09 when he averaged 10.1 points and 3.8 rebounds in 74 games (31 starts) with the Timberwolves. The 6-7, 265-pound forward was originally selected by the Timberwolves in the second round (36th overall) of the 2006 NBA Draft.
