Erie, Pennsylvania, Friday, March 14 - The Erie BayHawks welcomed the Springfield Armor to the Erie Insurance Arena on Friday night. After controlling nearly the entire game, the Armor held off Erie's late push to escape with a 107-104 victory.

Springfield (18-23) received 10 points from Willie Reed and 10 rebounds from Jeff Foote in the first quarter en route to a seven point advantage after one. Scott Suggs scored 10 points in the second frame for Erie (13-29) and the BayHawks cut the deficit to three at the break, 58-55.

Reed led all scorers with 16 points for the Armor and Lewis Jackson tallied 11 points, eight assists and five rebounds for Erie at the intermission.

Springfield shot 56.5% from the floor during the third quarter and out-rebounded the BayHawks 16-8 in the frame. Reed scored 10 points and grabbed seven boards for the Armor in the third and Springfield held a 91-75 lead with one quarter remaining. Erie went on a 13-0 run in the fourth quarter to draw within one point with 2:41 left in the game. With 4.0 seconds left in the game Khalif Wyatt split two free throws to put the Armor ahead by three. Micah Downs hoisted a 25 foot three-pointer at the buzzer that bounced off the rim and Springfield held on to win 107-104.

Downs led the BayHawks with 22 points, six rebounds and five assists. Suggs finished with 18 points while Jackson recorded 16 points, 10 assists and five rebounds. Jackson's 10 assists extend his NBA D-League record of consecutive 10-plus assists games to 13. Wyatt and Reed both finished with 26 points for the Armor. Larry Anderson poured in 23 points and grabbed eight rebounds and Foote scored 15 points and 24 rebounds for Springfield.

The BayHawks travel to Maine to face the Red Claws on Sunday while Springfield heads to Sioux Falls for a game with the Skyforce tomorrow night.
