
Energy Fall to Warriors in Santa Cruz

Santa Cruz, CA - The Iowa Energy fell to the Warriors 129-119 in Head Coach Nate Bjorkgren's return to Santa Cruz on Friday night.
The Energy started hot, taking a 38-30 lead into the second quarter. Energy forward Jackie Carmichael had 10 points on 5-6 from the field.
Iowa continued the hot shooting in the second quarter, as Austin Freeman began the night 4-4 from behind the arc, but the Warriors battled back to cut Iowa's lead to 2. Iowa took a 64-62 lead into the half.
The Warriors outscored the Energy 37-27 in the third quarter behind the hot shooting of Seth Curry. Curry had 11 of his game high 30 points in the quarter and helped the Warriors take a 99-91 lead into the fourth.
Santa Cruz held off Iowa's rally in the final quarter as they took home the 129-119 victory. The Warriors improve to 25-17 on the year and Iowa falls to 22-17.
Santa Cruz were led by Curry's 30 points. Joe Alexander added 24 points and 11 boards. Golden State Warriors assignee Nemanja Nedovic finished the night with 17 points.
The Energy were led by Washington Wizards assignee Glen Rice Jr.'s 29 points. Jackie Carmichael had 24 points and 7 rebounds. Othyus Jeffers had a near triple-double, as he finished with 23 points, 13 boards, and 8 assists.
The Energy will play the Warriors again tomorrow night at 9 PM before returning home on Monday, March 17th at 7 PM to take on the Sioux Falls Skyforce.
