Seven Riders chosen as West Division All-Stars

The Saskatchewan Roughriders are pleased to announce that seven players have been chosen to the Western Division All-Star team. The Green and White had two players picked on offence, four on defence and one for special teams. The voting is conducted by members of the Football Reporters of Canada.

AND THE ALL-STARS ARE......

JEREMY O'DAY (OL): In his seventh CFL season, O'Day earns his first all-star nomination. The 29-year old centre anchored an offensive line that saw the Riders reach the top of the league in rushing yards. O'Day started all 18 games this season.

ANDREW GREENE (OL): In his sixth CFL season, Greene earns his third all-star nomination. Greene was also recently honoured as the Western Division's Most Outstanding Lineman. Greene started all 18 games this season at right guard after missing most of last season with a serious neck injury.

NATE DAVIS (DL): In his third CFL season, Davis earns his first all-star nomination. The defensive tackle picked up 31 defensive tackles, two tackles for losses, and a team high 10 quarterback sacks. Davis also picked up Lineman-of-the-Week honours earlier this year.

REGGIE HUNT (LB): In his second CFL season, Hunt picks up his first West Division all-star nomination. Hunt was a menace through the entire season, leading the team with 85 defensive tackles, including a CFL record 16 tackles in one game. The 26-year old also picked up seven quarterback sacks and three interceptions.

JACKIE MITCHELL (LB): In his fourth CFL season, Mitchell picks up his first West Division all-star nomination. Mitchell started 18 games this year at outside linebacker leading the team with seven interceptions. He also picked up 64 defensive tackles, 10 special teams tackles, and three quarterback sacks.

OMARR MORGAN (DB): In his fourth CFL season, Morgan picks up his third West Division all-star nomination. Morgan started 15 games this year at left corner grabbing for a touchdown.

PAUL McCALLUM (K/P): In his 11th CFL season, McCallum picks up his first West Division all-star nomination. McCallum led the CFL with an 85.4% field goal percentage. McCallum also averaged 41.3 yards on 124 punts and 57.3 yards on 92 kickoffs.
