Senators Win Second Straight with a 10-2 Win over Binghamton

Binghamton, NY - The Harrisburg Senators gained a split in their four-game series against Binghamton with a 9-2 win on Sunday afternoon. Pedro Severino came into the series oh for his first twenty-four, but at NYSEG Stadium he went eight-for-twelve with five runs driven in including four hits on Sunday. The win on Sunday improves the Senators record to 5-6 while the B-Mets fell to 6-5.

Austin Voth went the first six innings and moved to 2-0 on the season as he allowed just a run on five hits and didn't walk a batter. Bryan Harper and Paul Demny finished the final three innings.

Severino went four-for-four with two RBIs, while Adrian Sanchez had two hits and two RBIs. Every Senators position player had at least one hit in the game. Shawn Pleffner and Caleb Ramsey also had two runs driven in.

The Senators scored four runs in the eighth and three more in the ninth to break open a tight 3-1 game. Sanchez delivered a two-out two-run double in the seventh while Pleffner added a two-run double in the ninth. Harrisburg took a 1-0 lead in the second inning when Voth reached on an infield error, scoring Severino all the way from second base. Ramsey drove in two with a two-out single in the fourth giving the Sens a 3-0 lead before they broke the game open late.

The Senators open a three-game series in Altoona on Monday night at 6:30 p.m. with RH Joe Ross on the hill. The game can be heard starting with the pregame show at 6:15 p.m. on Fox Sports 1460am and iHeart Radio.
