BINGHAMTON, NY - The Harrisburg Senators used a dozen hits, including four from Pedro Severino, to thump the Binghamton Mets, 10-2, in the series finale on Sunday afternoon at NYSGE Stadium. The Senators hung seven runs on the B-Mets bullpen in the final two innings to secure the series split.

The B-Mets trailed 3-1 after seven innings when the wheels fell off. Dario Alvarez and Adam Kolarek combined to allow seven runs in the last two frames out of the bullpen as the Senators broke the game open. Offensively, the B-Mets were held to seven hits with their leading hitter T.J. Rivera on the disabled list. Binghamton struggled when they did get baserunners, going 4-for-18 when batting with men on.

Binghamton had a runner cut down at the plate in the second inning when left fielder Ricky Hague threw out Josh Rodriguez for his second outfield assist of the season. The B-Mets followed by stranding two men on in the fourth and eighth innings. They also left a runner in scoring position in the fifth inning and a man on base in each the seventh and ninth innings. In total, Binghamton stranded eight runners on base.

The Senators struck first, getting on the board in the second inning when a Jairo Perez error at second base allowed Pedro Severino to score. Caleb Ramsey would add to the Senator's lead with a two-run single to centerfield in the fourth inning.

Binghamton responded in the bottom of the fifth, when Jared King got the B-Mets on the board with an RBI single to centerfield as well. But Binghamton wouldn't score again until the eighth inning when they were helped out by an Adrian Sanchez error at short. The error extended the inning and allowed Josh Rodriguez to drive in a run with his sixth hit in the last two games. It was too little too late as the B-Mets already found themselves behind 7-2.

The Senators then closed things out with three ninth inning runs to complete the rout.

John Gant (0-1) took the loss, allowing two earned runs in 5.2 innings. Austin Voth (2-0) allowed a run in six innings pitched for his second consecutive win.

The B-Mets (6-5) welcome in the Erie SeaWolves for a three game series at NYSEG Stadium beginning Monday night at 6:35. Binghamton RHP Seth Lugo (0-0, 0.00) gets the ball against RHP Jeff Ferrell (0-0, 1.50).
