HOPING TO GET EVEN (TRENTON LEADS 2-1):The Sea Dogs look for the series split with the Trenton Thunder (Yankees affiliate) on Sunday afternoon at Arm & Hammer Park...Portland has not lost a series in Trenton since June 21-23, dropping two of three...Tomorrow night, the 'Dogs open up a three-game series against the New Britain Rock Cats (Rockies affiliate) at New Britain Stadium.

PORTLAND'S BIG THREE: Mike Brenly, Mike Miller and Jantzen Witte each had 3 RBI, as the Sea Dogs had their best offensive output of the season, beating the Thunder 10-1...RHP Mike McCarthy (1-1) tossed five scoreless frames, allowing both hits to the first 2 batters faced, to earn the win...The 'Dogs scored five times in the second inning off losing pitcher LHP Caleb Smith (0-2)...Miller tied a career-high with 4 hits, driving home two in the ninth inning...Brenly knocked home the first 2 runs in the second and Witte had all 3 RBI with two outs...The Sea Dogs had 16 hits and finished 9-for-20 with runners-in-scoring position.
