Harrisburg Senators News Release

Erie, PA - It was an ugly Sunday in Erie for the Harrisburg Senators as they fell to the Erie SeaWolves, 11-5, at Jerry Uht Park. Erie struck for six runs in the 5th inning and three more in the 6th to take a commanding lead. The loss finished a three-game sweep at the hands of the SeaWolves.

Meanwhile, Harrisburg couldn't take full advantage of eight Erie walks. They had the bases loaded and less than two outs on two different occasions and only scored one run in those situations.

The Senators took the first lead of the game in the top of the 1st when Marco Yepez lined an RBI double to left-center to make it 1-0 Senators.

In the bottom of the 3rd, Will Rhymes doubled home a run and Wilkin Ramirez blasted a solo homer to right to give the SeaWolves a 2-1 advantage they wouldn't relinquish.

The Senators tied the game in the top of the 5th on an RBI fielder's choice off the bat of Garrett Guzman, but couldn't score any more despite having the bases loaded with nobody out.

The SeaWolves exploded for five runs in the bottom of the 5th and three more in the bottom of the 6th to take an 11-5 lead.

RHP Jordan Zimmermann was tagged for eight runs in 4.1 innings and took the loss to dip to 2-2 on the season. RHP Andrew Kown picked up the win to move to 5-9.

The Senators fell to 44-36. The SeaWolves improved to 36-46.

The Senators return home to Commerce Bank Park for a four-game homestand against the Bowie Baysox. Game time Monday is 6:35 PM with RHP Adrian Alaniz (0-0, 2.65 ERA) faces Bowie RHP Jason Berken (5-3, 4.28 ERA).
