Senators Spread out Hits in Win over Altoona

The Harrisburg Senators made it two straight over Altoona with a 9-3 win Saturday night at PNG Field in Altoona. Every Senators starter had a hit except for one. The Sens scored three in the first and two more in the fourth then put the game away with three in the seventh.

ON CAPITAL HILL

Jackson Tetreault started and earned the win. Pitching well for six innings, allowing a run on four hits. He faced 22 batters, throwing 85 pitches, 52 for strikes.

Carlos Navas followed Tetreault and threw two innings, allowing a pair of solo home runs. He struck out two and didn't walk a batter.

Frankie Bartow pitched the final frame retiring all three batters he faced.

WITH THE GAVEL

KJ Harrison had two hits including his third home run in two games.

Gilbert Lara also homered in the game, his third with the Senators.

Cole Freeman had two hits and scored twice.

Nick Banks had a double and single, drove in three and scored twice.

Jake Alu drove in three runs with two hits including a double.

FILIBUSTERS

For the second straight game the Senators had 12 hits. With the 12 hits, the Senators raised their team batting average to a season high .224. Harrisburg has had 10+ hits in 7 of the 11 games on the road trip. With a win Sunday the Senators can even the season series with Altoona at 8-8.

The Senators and Altoona Curve play game six of their six-game series Sunday at 6:00 p.m. at Peoples Natural Gas Field in Altoona. The game can be heard on CBS Sports Radio Harrisburg 96.5FM 95.3FM and 1400AM beginning at 5:40 p.m.
