Senators Run out of Rallies

Harrisburg Senators News Release


The Harrisburg Senators fell to the Erie SeaWolves 4-3 Saturday night at FNB Field. The Senators countered Erie's one run with two of their own in the 3rd inning, but Erie retook the lead 3-2 in the 4th. The Senators tied that game with a run in the 6th, but Erie once again answered right back in the 7th with the go-ahead run to make it 4-3.

THE BIG PLAY

With the game tied 3-3 in the 7th inning, Jake Holton hit an RBI infield single, scoring Gage Workman from third base to give Erie the 4-3 advantage.

FILIBUSTERS

Andrew Pinckney went 2-for-4 with a HR and extended his hitting streak to nine games, the longest by a Senator this season... Daison Acosta and Orlando Ribalta each threw scoreless innings in relief, and Ribalta extended his scoreless inning streak to 14 innings... Harrisburg stole three bases in four attempts, with Jackson Cluff swiping two... The Senators went 1-for-10 with runners in scoring position... Sens batters struck out 15 times, one shy of their season high.

The Senators and Erie SeaWolves play the final game of their seven-game series Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at FNB Field. The game can be heard on 1400am, 96.5 FM & 95.3 FM, Sports Radio Harrisburg, beginning at 12:45 p.m.
