
Senators Rally for 5 to 4 Win over Reading

The Harrisburg Senators rebounded from an early four-run deficit to come back and beat the Reading Fightin Phils 5-4 on Wednesday night in front of 2,658 fans at Metro Bank Park. Outfielder Kevin Keyes (2-for-4, two runs, RBI) scored the game-winning run on a wild pitch in the bottom of the eighth inning.
Reading scored three runs in the top of the first inning off of Senators starter Omar Poveda on three singles and a double. Poveda would allow another run in the third, but would wind up pitching six innings, in which he struck out nine batters - a new Senators season-high. Tyler Herron pitched 1.1 scoreless innings to pick up the win, while Matt Grace induced the final two outs of the ninth for his second save. Colin Bates fired a 1-2-3 top of the seventh inning in relief.
Caleb Ramsey (3-for-4, RBI) knocked in Michael Taylor (1-for-3, two runs) with an RBI single in the third and Keyes followed later in the frame with an RBI groundout to make it a 4-2 game. The Senators scored again in the sixth inning on a Sean Nicol two-out RBI double that scored Keyes from first. In the seventh, Taylor scored again, this time on a Cutter Dykstra (3-for-4, double) run-scoring single to tie the game. Keyes led off the eighth inning with a double, and then advanced to third on a deep fly out by Jason Martinson before scoring on the wild pitch by Reading's Colton Murray.
