Senators Lose Early Lead

Harrisburg Senators News Release
The Sens took a 5-1 lead into the bottom of the fifth inning but couldn't hold on to it in their 7-5 loss to Trenton Sunday evening at ARM & HAMMER Park in Trenton. David Masters hit his first Double-A home run to put the Sens up 5-1. Kevin McGowan struck out 10 before departing in the sixth inning and took a no-decision. Harrisburg scored three times in the top of the first to take a 3-0 lead. The sweep at the hands of the Thunder is the third time the Sens have been swept on the road this season.
On Capitol Hill
Kevin McGowan started and pitched into the sixth inning before departing. He pitched much better than his final line indicates. He struck out 10, walked 2, and left with two runners on base and both runners scored.
Bryan Bonnell followed McGowan and faced five batters with four reaching. He allowed three runs on four hits.
Jhonatan German pitched 1.2 innings striking out one and allowing a hit.
Andrew Istler pitched the eighth inning for the Sens, allowed a hit and struck out three.
With the Gavel
David Masters hit his first Double-A home run in the fourth inning giving the Sens a 5-1 lead.
Adrian Sanchez, Dante Bichette, Jr., and Hunter Jones all doubled.
The Senators went 1-for-9 with runners in scoring position.

On Deck
After a day off Monday, the Senators play the Altoona Curve in game one of their three-game series Tuesday at FNB Field with the pitch scheduled for 6:30 p.m. The game can be heard on CBS Sports Radio Harrisburg 96.5FM 95.3FM and 1400AM beginning at 6:20 p.m.
