New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release

Manchester, NH - Trailing 5-1 in the fifth inning, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Blue Jays Double-A affiliate) broke through for a five-run rally en route to an 8-5 win over the first-place Erie SeaWolves (Detroit Tigers) on Sunday afternoon at Delta Dental Stadium.

Forrest Wall and Josh Palacios started the game-winning rally with singles against MLB.com No. 1 pitching prospect Casey Mize, who forced in a run with a walk and a hit by pitch. Riley Adams made it 5-3 with an RBI groundout, leaving runners on the corners for Brock Lundquist.

Lundquist launched a 1-2 pitch over the fence in right center, giving the Fisher Cats a 6-5 lead with a three-run homer. Mize (L, 6-3) finished after 4.2 innings, having allowed six runs on eight hits with three walks and five strikeouts.

The Fisher Cats added a run in the seventh on a Logan Warmoth RBI single and another in the eighth on a sacrifice fly from Lundquist to extend the lead to 8-5.

Justin Dillon began his start with three scoreless frames, and had a 1-0 lead thanks to a solo homer from Riley Adams in the second, but ran into trouble in the fourth inning. Erie strung together four singles, a walk and a hit-by-pitch to plate four runs and take a 4-1 lead. Dillon left after four innings, allowing four runs on six hits with two walks and three strikeouts.

A bases-loaded walk extended Erie's advantage to 5-1 in the fifth, but that would be the only run surrendered by New Hampshire's bullpen. Brad Wilson (W, 2-0) handled the fifth and sixth with two strikeouts.

Mike Ellenbest (H, 1) tossed two scoreless innings of relief, and Dany Jimenez (S, 3) struck out the side in the ninth.

Adams, Nash Knight and Christian Williams each delivered two of New Hampshire's 14 hits.

Lundquist finished the day 3-for-4 with four RBIs, and was a triple shy of the cycle.

After Monday's off day, the Fisher Cats hit the road for a four-game, three-day series with the Binghamton Rumble Ponies (New York Mets) at NYSEG Stadium. The team returns home to Manchester on Friday, August 16, to start a three-game series against the Portland Sea Dogs (Boston Red Sox) at Delta Dental Stadium.
