Harrisburg Senators News Release
On Thursday night at Waterfront Park in Trenton, Jonathan Tucker made a game-saving catch for the final out in the Senators 4-2 win over the Trenton Thunder. The Senators offense continued to show signs of turning things around as for the second night in a row they had nine hits.
Tyler Moore and Steve Lombardozzi both had two hits in the win and Jesus Valdez drove in two runs, one with a double in the fourth and another on a walk in the ninth. The Sens had four hits in the fourth inning, the most they've had in a single inning thus far this year. Harrisburg took a 2-1 lead into the ninth when they capitalized on wild pitching to plate two runs and take a 4-1 lead into the last of the ninth.
Erik Davis started for Harrisburg and went four innings striking out six and allowing three hits. Cory VanAllen followed and earned his first win of the 2011 season, going three innings while striking out four and allowing a single run. Jeff Mandel followed and went 1.2 innings before turning the game and save over to Patrick McCoy, who got the final out of the game, a fly ball off the bat of Austin Krum that Tucker made the diving catch on.

Game two of the series is Friday night at 7:05 p.m. with RH Ryan Tatusko on the mound for the Senators opposed by RH Graham Stoneburner for the Trenton Thunder.
