Senators Beat Erie 11-5

The Senators finished their seven game road trip with an 11-5 win at Erie on Wednesday afternoon. Erik Arnesen picked up his second win, going 5.2 innings while striking out seven for the second consecutive start. It is the first winning road trip in 2009 for the Senators and the series win over Erie gives them their third series win of the season. The 11 runs are a season high.

Bill Rhinehart had four hits and becomes the third Senator this season with at least four hits in a game. Leonard Davis had three hits and Michael Daniel, Joel Guzman, Marvin Lowrance, and Edgardo Baez all had two hits. Lowrance hit a two-run home run, his seventh of the season. Lowrance and Daniel both drove in three runs.

The Senators come home to start a seven-game homestand on Friday night against Bowie at 7:00pm. They will play 14 of their next 17 games at Metro Bank Park.
