Baysox Figure Out Wieters

BOWIE, Md. - The Bowie Baysox have figured out Orioles top prospect Matt Wieters, and will give him away Wednesday, June 17, when the Baysox take on the Reading Phillies at 7:05 p.m. The first 1,000 fans ages three and up to enter Prince George's Stadium will receive a limited edition collectible figurine of the former Baysox catcher, limit one per person. Fans must have a ticket to the game to receive the figurine.

The figurine stands on a wooden base and is roughly six inches tall. It features Wieters throwing a baseball in catcher's equipment and his number 32 Baysox jersey.

The Matt Wieters figurine giveaway is fans' first chance to procure a non-bobbling rendition of 2008 Baseball America Player of the Year!

The Baysox 17th season as the class AA affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles is underway!
