BOWIE, Md. - The Bowie Baysox will host the 14th Central Maryland Career Fair at Prince George's Stadium Wednesday, June 3, from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. The career fair is sponsored by The Pennysaver and presented in conjunction with Prince George's County Economic Development Corporation and Maryland Job Services. Last year, more than 1,900 individuals met face-to-face with representatives from companies in various job sectors. Applicants are strongly encouraged to wear business attire. A complete listing of companies attending can be found online at www.baysox.com/career. Attendees are encouraged to check the Web site often for updates on companies scheduled to attend.
Baysox General Manager Brian Shallcross watched the event grow over the last eight years, and is glad the Baysox can facilitate career seekers meeting potential employers.
"Our career fairs are another way the Baysox strive to be an active community partner," Shallcross said. "We work to attract employers from all sectors so local applicants have a variety of options to find fulfilling, long-term employment. It is very rewarding to help make that connection between employers and employees."
