Segal Claimed Off Waivers By Dallas

LOS ANGELES, CA - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have recalled forward Richard Clune, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today. In addition, the Dallas Stars have today claimed forward Brandon Segal off of waivers.

Clune, 22, has played in 41 games with the Monarchs and has 12 points (3912) and a team-leading 119 penalty minutes. The 5-foot-10, 198-pound native of Toronto has never played in the NHL. Clune was assigned to the ECHL's Ontario Reign on Wednesday, February 10 but did not play in a game for the Reign. He was acquired by the Kings from Dallas on July 21, 2008, in exchange for right wing Lauri Tukonen and he will wear No. 56 for the Kings.

Segal, 26, played in 25 games this season with the Kings, his first with the club, and had two points (1-12) and 20 penalty minutes. He also has played in 21 games with Manchester this season and had 14 points (6-814) and 34 penalty minutes.

The Monarchs finish their seven-game road trip with a match-up with the Springfield Falcons on Friday, February 12 at the MassMutual Center.
